The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Don Bosco Institute Of Technology was established in the year 2001 with an intake of 60 enhanced to 120 in the year 2009. The Department provides an outstanding state of the art research environment complemented by excellent teaching staff.

The Department offers Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Computer Science and Engineering. The Department has a comprehensive curriculum on topics related to all aspects of Computer Hardware and Software with an emphasis on practical learning. The course structure is up-to-date and includes courses on growing topics to equip our students with the latest inventions and developments. The Computer Science & Engineering department is committed to continuously improve the quality of education by enhancing the knowledge of students and staff members.

The department has well qualified and experienced staff, well equipped laboratories having the latest configurations of computers and software. Our faculty members have extensive expertise and experience in their chosen fields and an overriding commitment to the welfare of their students.

• Department Conducted a National Conference FCS'11 during 19th to 21st May 2011.
• The Motto of the Conference was to showcase the talents of Practicing Engineers from Industry, Teaching Staff from Recognized University Colleges and Students.
• The Conference was inaugurated by Sri. Dharanipragada Satya Murty, Principal Secretary to Govt. of Karnataka.
• Proceedings of the Conference in DVD form was released.
