About the Department
Don Bosco Institute of Technology functions under Wayanamac Education trust. The main function of Accounts Department at Don Bosco Institute of Technology is to provide Financial and Accounting support services to all the stakeholders of the Institution.
The Students at Don Bosco Institute of Technology are supported by our department by systematic collection of fees and by giving financial assistance to students by co- ordinating with various Scholarship Departments.
The department facilitates and encourages the faculty to organize and participate in Several National and International Conferences and Seminars to enrich their knowledge.
The Department is currently organized and encompasses the following functions; Financial Management, Budgeting, Accounting, Payroll, and providing Creditor support.
The Research centre in Mechanical Engineering at DBIT was started in the Year 2008. Presently we have equipments catering to the needs of Materials Testing for characterization. The centre is in the process of acquiring and establishing research facilities. Seven candidates have registered in our research centre and are actively carrying out research in the area of composites under the guidance of Prof. Dr.V.S.Ramamurthy. One candidate has completed Comprehensive Viva and is writing thesis for final submission. Two candidates have completed course work and four candidates are pursuing course work. Apart from this, there are three faculty members pursuing research in various other universitiesbut are usingthe research facilities of the centre. A total of 18 Journal Publications and 27 Conference Publications of the research work done have been made in the last three Years.
