Launched in 2004, the Dept. of Management studies at Don Bosco offers Masters in Business administration (MBA) which follows the curriculum offered by Visweshwaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum and is affiliated to All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
We have the following three areas of Specializations:

Most happening and inspiring events of our Department
- One day Seminar on a National level on `Role of Economics in Societal Change’ in technical collaboration with ISEC was held on November 2nd 2009 and another one on “Emerging Issues In International Business was held on May 14th 2010 at our campus.
- One day Seminar on a National Level is organized, jointly in association with ‘EDP’ cell Belgaum on ‘Entrepreneurship Development Programme’ every year.
- We also organized a seminar on ‘Entrepreneurship Development and Financial Assistance to Budding Entrepreneur’ jointly with KSFC on March 4th 2011.
- A Management Fest was conducted under the banner ‘PROTSAHAN’ on March 23rd 2011.
Highlights of our Infrastructural Facilities:
- We have separate hostel facility for boys & girls.
- The students are provided with healthy, nutrition & homely food.
- We have access to clean & hygienic rest rooms, pure drinking water & health care facility.
- Recreation facilities such as television, music, reading rooms, telephone, wi-fi facility etc… available to all students.
- DBIT’s MBA section is well equipped with a full-fledge MIS Lab with 30 systems with 24hrs internet connection.
Eligibility Criteria:
The Management studies at DBIT have an intake of 60 students per year, 50% through PGCET & 50% through Management Quota.
Our Future Plans
We have been exploring opportunities to collaborate with Foreign universities and National universities (self paced learning) to have a wider scope of knowledge for our students.
We have plans to have separate departments for HR, Finance and Marketing, with departmental libraries.
Proposed student intake to increase to 120.
Business club to encourage Entrepreneurial development.
We hope to launch a Journal with updates about the department shortly.
